In a way this is a heavy-handed yet poignant clue. What makes Miguel Miguel today, the unrequited love, the lost, twisted, and unreliable memories, the fabrications, gratifications, achievements and guilt, and the loneliness, are indicative of the society's ill writ large, universal but also specific to this war torn part of the world. The personal is always political.
